Starting with a conclusion that the failings of the international diplomacy in its attempts to end the war in Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina became blatantly obvious at the end of 1992, the author considers the diplomatic activities during 1993 which were crucial for the preservation of the Republic’s state structure. From the Vance-Owen plan at the beginning of 1993, the activities of the international diplomacy profiled a plan which anticipated the preservation of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s statehood, despite the plans of its destruction.
